The Legend of the Female General the 3rd drama adaption of Qian Shan Cha Ke’s novels, following The Glory (2025) and The Double (2024). The original novel is 女將星, with the English name Rebirth of a Star General. And so it is another rebirth. The drama is adapted by the same team behind The Legend of Zhuohua.

Li Ming De went from viral whistle blower to embattled pariah within weeks. On January 4th, 2025, Li Ming De’s initial outcry targeted at Ma Tian Yu and the production team behind The Three 三人行, set to air in 2026, for tardiness, unprofessionalism, and mistreatment was overwhelmingly favoured by the public. He was standing up to the “big guy” with the underdog narrative, earning massive waves of support.
Then the tides turned. The drama production released rebuttals, defending Ma Tian Yu and accusing Li Ming De of misconduct. Li was isolated by the crew and cast as no one came forth for him. Later that month, Li Ming De drunkly vandalized a parked car and was criminally charged to six months of prison and fined 200,000 yuan. He’s particularly black-listed at this point.
